Privacy Policy

Mylog is a personal memory and relationship recording app. It is designed around local-first storage and user control.

Data stored

Mylog may store records you create, including title, content, type, time, tags, linked people, and photos.

Mylog may also store local AI insights, smart reminders, long-term memory derived from your records, and backup files you export or import.

Local-first storage

Records, photos, AI insights, reminders, and long-term memory are stored in the app database and document storage on your device by default.

Photos and camera

Camera access is used only when you choose to take a photo for a record. Photo library access is used only when you choose photos to attach to a record.

Voice

The current version does not provide real speech-to-text transcription. If future versions upload audio for cloud transcription, Mylog will disclose this and ask for consent before upload.

AI analysis

The current AI assistant is local rule-based analysis. It generates daily insights, smart reminders, and long-term memory from your local records.

If cloud AI is added later, Mylog will explain what data is sent, which provider processes it, why it is sent, whether it is stored, and how users can opt out.

Backups

You can export your records and assistant data as a JSON backup and import backups later. You are responsible for where exported backup files are stored.

Data deletion

Deleting a record hides it locally. You can also clear local app data from Settings. If cloud sync is added later, Mylog will add cloud deletion controls.
